Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and PLUG ME IN CREATIVE SARL, registered in France under SIREN number 953857315, which operates Filmey.ai. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
1 · What Filmey.ai does
You describe a film in your own words and make a few choices. We compose instructions from that, send them to AI models operated by third parties, and return a short finished film with picture and sound. You buy credits, which are spent when a film is produced: what a film costs in credits depends on its length and its camera, and is shown before it is made; a film's total is rounded up to a whole credit.
2 · Who may use it
- You must be 18 or older. We ask you to confirm it once, before you start.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your sign-in secure.
- One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to obtain free allowances is a breach of these terms and we may close those accounts.
3 · Your films belong to you — as far as your own rights reach
We claim no ownership of your films: any rights we hold in what the service makes for you are yours. You may use your films for anything lawful, including commercially (a Quick Fun film is the exception: it is for personal use only — see below), with no visible watermark and no royalty owed to us. A film may carry an invisible, machine-readable mark saying it was made with AI. A music track created in the studio may be used online, including in online advertising, but not broadcast on television or radio or shown in cinemas: our music provider’s licence does not cover those uses.
You grant us only the narrow licence we need to run the service: to store your work, to send your instructions to the AI providers that make your film, and to return it to you. Nothing more.
Quick Fun films are for personal use
A film made with ⚡ Quick Fun is for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may keep it, share it with friends and family, and post it on your own personal social media accounts. You may not use it for a business, a brand, a product or a promotion: no advertising, no sponsored or paid posts, no posts for a company's or a client's account, and no resale. A film you want to use commercially is made with Full Control, under the terms above.
What that ownership does not do
Owning the film is not the same as owning everything inside it. Your rights in a film can never be greater than your rights in what you put into it.
- Your own logo, your own product, your own brand — yours: so the film is yours and you may use it commercially. That is exactly what Filmey.ai is for.
- Another company’s logo or product, a character or scene from someone else’s film, a piece of music, or the likeness of a real person — not yours. Putting them into a film does not make them yours, and no assignment from us or from a model can give you a right the model never had.
You are responsible for holding the rights to what you bring, and for how you use what comes back. A film that contains someone else’s protected work may be unusable commercially, or at all, however it was produced. If in doubt, the safest course is to describe it in your own words.
We do not train on your work
We do not use your ideas, scripts or films to train AI models, and we do not sell them or share them with anyone except the providers described in the privacy policy, who process them to make your film, under their own terms.
4 · What you may not make
What you add. You promise that you hold the rights to everything you add — pictures, logos, recordings, documents, music — and that every identifiable person who appears in it, or whose voice is heard, has given permission for it to be used in a film. Never use what you add in an intimate or sexual context. Before your first upload we ask you to confirm this once, and we keep a record of it. We may refuse or remove anything that breaks this rule, and suspend the account.
Pictures of people. Nothing you add or make with Filmey.ai may show nudity or sexualise anyone, at any age, and we take particular care with anyone who could be under 18. A child may appear in your films only with a parent's or guardian's permission, and only in a way that suits a child. We refuse what breaks these rules, and we may remove any picture that does.
You are responsible for what you ask for. You may not use Filmey.ai to create:
- nudity or sexual content — Filmey.ai makes films for everyone;
- sexual content involving minors, or anything that sexualises a child (see Child safety, below);
- sexual or intimate imagery of a real person without their consent;
- content that impersonates a real person in order to deceive, including fraud, political manipulation or defamation;
- material that infringes someone else’s rights — copyright, trade marks — including recognisable characters, logos and works. You may of course use your own brand, logo and products, and the rights you genuinely hold;
- content that incites violence or hatred, or that is unlawful in France or in your own country.
Child safety. To protect children, every picture you upload is checked automatically as it goes up and used only if it passes, and the AI providers check what you ask for and what they make, under their own policies. Anything that sexualises a child is refused and never used. Any inappropriate material involving anyone under 18 will be reported to the authorities (in France, through the PHAROS platform), with the details of the account it came from.
A request may be refused automatically, by our own screening or by the AI providers. A refusal is not a fault in the service. Each refusal tells you why and who decided it. If you think one is wrong, write to contact@filmey.ai and a person will review it. To tell us about something made with Filmey.ai that is illegal or harms you, use Report a problem.
The narrator’s voice
Narration is spoken by a synthetic voice, which we license from a voice provider and which is licensed to you through us. Those terms pass to you unchanged. In addition to the above, you may not:
- make the voice say anything intended to pass as the words of a real, identifiable person — a public figure or someone close to you;
- clone, imitate or approximate the voice of a real person without their written consent;
- use the voice for automated calls, or against any voice-authentication or identity-verification system;
- present a generated voice as a genuine recording of an event, an interview or a statement.
The voices are licensed for commercial use, including for films you deliver to your own clients, and no further payment is owed to the voice’s owner. What you may not do is extract the voice from your film and offer it as a voice service.
5 · What AI output is — and is not
Filmey.ai relies on generative AI. You should expect that:
- the model may interpret your words differently from what you intended;
- it may invent details you did not ask for, or get things wrong;
- the same request, twice, will not give the same film;
- the output may resemble another work by coincidence.
You confirm you understand this before each film. We do not promise that a film will meet your expectations, and dissatisfaction with a result is not a fault in the service.
6 · Credits: what they cost, and who sells them
- Credits are prepaid, are spent only when a film is produced, and do not expire.
- They have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Prices are shown in US dollars, euros and pounds sterling. Your currency, and any VAT or other sales tax that applies, are calculated at checkout by Freemius (see below).
- We may change prices for future purchases. Credits you have already bought are unaffected.
Who sells you credits: Freemius, our merchant of record
Credits are sold to you by Freemius, Inc. (“Freemius”), 4023 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807, United States, which acts as our authorised reseller and merchant of record. When you buy credits, your contract for that purchase is with Freemius, and the purchase terms Freemius shows you at checkout apply to it. Your use of Filmey.ai itself remains governed by these terms, between you and PLUG ME IN CREATIVE SARL.
What Freemius does. Freemius takes your payment and sends you the receipt or invoice; calculates, collects and pays to the tax authorities the VAT, sales tax or any other indirect tax due on your purchase; pays any refund that is due to you under our refund policy or under the law, to the payment method you used; handles chargebacks, payment disputes and fraud checks; and answers questions about a charge, a receipt, an invoice or tax (support@freemius.com). Your card and payment details are handled by Freemius and its payment processors: we never see or keep them.
What we do. PLUG ME IN CREATIVE SARL provides the Filmey.ai service: we add the credits you bought to your account once Freemius confirms your payment, make and deliver your films, look after your account and your personal data as our Privacy Policy explains, and answer every question about the service at contact@filmey.ai — including a question about a purchase, which we take up with Freemius for you.
Refunds and reversed payments. Refunds follow our refund policy (see Refunds). When a refund is due, Freemius pays it and the credits it covers are removed from your account; if a payment is reversed through a chargeback, the credits it bought are removed in the same way.
7 · Keeping your films
We keep each finished film for six months from the day its credits were spent, so you can come back to it. After that it is deleted permanently. Download anything you want to keep. We are not a backup service, and we accept no liability for work not downloaded before it expired.
8 · Closing an account
You may close your account at any time, yourself, from Profile, in the account menu (Delete my account). We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that the law requires us to close, or that is used to abuse the free allowance or the payment system.
9 · What we guarantee, and what we do not
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any film will be fit for a particular purpose.
10 · Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect; you may then close your account and be refunded any unspent credits.
11 · Applicable law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please write to us first at contact@filmey.ai.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Filmey.ai uses, why, who handles it for us, how long we keep it, and what you can ask of us.
1 · Who is responsible
Filmey.ai is operated by PLUG ME IN CREATIVE SARL, registered in France under SIREN number 953857315, which is responsible for your personal data. For anything about your data, write to contact@filmey.ai.
2 · What we collect
- Your account — your email address and, if you give it, your name. If you add them to your profile: whether you are an individual or a company, your company name and your phone number.
- If you sign in with Google — the name, email address and profile picture Google shares with us (see section 3).
- What you make — your ideas, scripts, choices and narration text; the photos, logos, product pictures, documents and voice recordings you add; and the scripts, pictures, voices, music and films made from them.
- Your credits — every purchase, grant, spend and refund of credits on your account, and the credit codes you redeem.
- Your confirmations — before each paid film you confirm what you are asking for; and once, for your account, that you are 18 or older and accept the terms, and that you hold the rights to what you add. We keep the exact wording you were shown, when you confirmed, and the IP address and browser you confirmed from.
- If you report a problem — what you write, the link you give, your name and email address if you give them, and the IP address and browser the report came from, so that we can act on it and answer you.
- Feedback you choose to give — your survey answers and film ratings, with any comment you write.
- Technical data — your IP address, your browser and a random device identifier, used to keep the service secure and to limit abuse, such as how many accounts one device can create in a day.
- Visit notes — when you open one of our public pages, our own server notes the time to the minute, the page, the site you came from, your type of device, your browser's language and the region of the network point you reached us through. No IP address, no cookie and nothing that identifies you (see section 9).
We never see or store your card details: payments are taken by our payment partner (see section 5).
3 · Signing in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us, with your permission. We use your email address to create your account and sign you in, and your name to fill in your profile. We do not use your profile picture; it is simply kept with your account details by our sign-in provider.
We do not sell this information, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models. It is shared only with the providers that run Filmey.ai (section 5), and your email address is passed to our payment partner when you buy credits, so that the purchase reaches your account. You can remove Filmey.ai’s access at any time in your Google Account, at myaccount.google.com/connections, and have the information deleted by closing your account (section 8).
Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4 · Why we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for — your account and sign-in, making and keeping your films, your credits and your purchases. Legal basis: our contract with you.
- To keep the service safe — limiting sign-ups and requests, screening requests for prohibited content, checking each picture you upload as it goes up (automatically, for what our terms forbid — nobody is identified, and a refused picture is never used), and keeping technical logs and backups. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service and the people who use it.
- To show what you agreed to — the record of your confirmations, if a film or a charge is ever disputed. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in establishing and defending legal claims.
- To improve Filmey.ai — the feedback you choose to give. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the service.
- To meet our legal obligations — keeping our accounts, answering lawful requests from the authorities, and reporting child sexual abuse material to them (section 4 of our Terms). Legal basis: legal obligation.
We send no marketing emails, we show no advertising, we do not sell your data, and we do not use your ideas, scripts or films to train AI models.
5 · Who handles it for us
We share personal data only with the services that run Filmey.ai, and only what each one needs. Our servers, our database and your films are hosted in the European Union, in Ireland and in France: they hold your account, projects, credits, confirmations and films, and everything you send us passes through them. The AI models that write, draw, voice, score and film your project are run by third-party AI providers, in the United States and, for some models, in Asia; they receive what you ask for, the text, pictures and recordings you add, and the text of your documents. Sign-in emails, the sign-in method you choose (section 3) and payments (section 6 of the terms) are handled by specialist providers under their own terms, which receive only your email address and what the payment itself needs.
We send the AI models only what is needed to make your film. Their makers may apply their own terms to what they receive.
Apart from these services, we give personal data only to the authorities: when the law requires it, or when we report child sexual abuse material (section 4 of our Terms) — what we hold about that material and the account it came from.
6 · Where your data goes
Your account, projects and finished films are stored in the European Union. Some of the services above are based outside it, in the United States and, for some AI models, possibly in Asia. When data leaves the European Union, we rely on the safeguards the GDPR provides: a European Commission adequacy decision, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies, or the Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
7 · How long we keep it
- Your account and profile — until you close your account.
- Your projects — until you delete them or close your account. When you delete a project, its content is erased 24 hours later; its title and dates stay in your account until you close it.
- Your films — six months from the day their credits were spent, then deleted permanently. The working files made along the way, such as shot plans and partial takes, are kept until you close your account.
- Pictures and recordings you upload, and pictures you add as references — kept in your account until you close it, so a picture made with them can bring them back, even after you delete the original. Our AI model providers also keep the copy they are sent, under their own retention terms.
- Your Library — Pictures, casting and music you make or import are kept in your Library until you delete them. Videos and edits are kept for six months with their film, then deleted.
- Voices recorded for your films — kept in your account until you close it, even after the project they were made in is deleted.
- Your credits and purchases — for as long as your account exists; once it is closed, under your account number only, without your email address, for ten years, as French accounting law requires.
- What you agreed to — the exact words, when, and from which address — for as long as your account exists, then for five years after it is closed, under your account number only, as evidence if there is a dispute.
- Reports — as long as handling the report requires, then up to five years, the time within which it could be disputed in France.
- A picture refused because it appears to show a child in an intimate way — never the picture itself: when, from which account and address, and its fingerprint — 12 months.
- Security alerts — what our checks noticed (a spending anomaly, repeated wrong passwords, a payment never settled), with the account and network involved — 6 months.
- A record of each film made — its title, date, length and cost, without your contact details, for up to ten years, as French accounting law requires.
- Feedback you gave — kept after you close your account, but no longer linked to you.
- Security data — limits on sign-ups and requests, which include IP and email addresses, about 24 hours; usage counters, up to 13 months; server logs, about seven days.
- Visit notes — they identify no one, so we keep them for as long as the site runs, to see how it is used over time.
- Backups — copies of our database, kept on our own equipment and with our cloud storage provider so the service can be restored if something goes wrong. Data you delete leaves them as they are replaced.
8 · Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected, deleted or exported, for its use to be restricted, or object to its use. You may also give instructions about what happens to your data after your death. You can delete your account yourself, from Profile, in the account menu (Delete my account): a code sent to the email address on your account confirms it, and your account is deleted at once, everything in it within 24 hours, except what section 7 says we keep. To exercise any of these rights, or to close your account and have your data deleted, write to contact@filmey.ai from the email address on your account; we reply within one month. When you close your account, we delete your projects, your films and your personal data within one month, except what section 7 says we keep.
If you believe we have not respected your rights, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or to the authority of the EU country where you live.
9 · Cookies and storage on your device
We use only what is strictly necessary for the service to work. There is no advertising and no third-party tracking — under French and EU rules, none of these cookies requires your consent, so there is no banner to accept. What is stored is limited to what keeps you signed in, a random device identifier that limits how many accounts one device can create, and your language.
Your browser also keeps your current and recent projects, your language and currency, and the email address you last signed in with, so that your work survives a refresh. That stays on your device, and signing out clears your projects and email address from it. When you buy credits, the checkout is our payment partner’s own page, which may set its own cookies.
Counting visits. To understand how the site is used, our own server notes each visit to our public pages: the time to the minute, the page, the site you came from, your type of device, your browser's language and the region of the network point you reached us through. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device and keeps no IP address for this, so a note says nothing about who you are, and no third party sees it. These notes are kept for as long as the site runs, to follow its use over time.
10 · Security
Everything between your browser and Filmey.ai is encrypted. At Filmey.ai, account data is seen only by the people who run the service, through a protected operator page, and only to run the service and help you. Your card details never reach us.
11 · Age
Filmey.ai is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone younger.
12 · Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data in a way that matters to you, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect, and update the date above.
Refunds
Last updated: October 2026
If a film fails, you pay nothing
Credits are held when a film starts and only kept if a film is delivered. If the generation fails, is refused by the AI provider or returns nothing, your credits are returned to you automatically — with nothing for you to do.
If a film is produced, the credits are spent
Once the film has been generated, the cost of production has been incurred and the credits are spent — including when you do not like the result. Generative AI never gives the same answer twice, and a disappointing result is not a failure of the service. This is explained to you, and you confirm it, before every film.
- Unused credits: credits have no fiduciary value and cannot be sold or exchanged. Purchased ‘credits’ are non-refundable.
- Spent credits: before each film, you ask for it to be made immediately. Once the film has been produced, the cost of producing it has been incurred and the credits consumed are spent.
If something genuinely does not work
None of the above affects the legal guarantee of conformity. If the service does not do what it is supposed to do — films will not generate, your account will not work, you have been charged twice — write to contact@filmey.ai and we will put it right with ‘credits’ on our platform.
Where money is refunded, it is paid back by Freemius, our merchant of record, which sold you the credits (see the Terms, section 6).
Our own content
The Filmey.ai name, its design, its texts, its style catalogue and the software that runs it belong to us and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may freely link to the site. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse the site itself, or any part of it, for commercial purposes without our written agreement. This does not concern the films you create: they are yours, as the terms and conditions state.
